She did not know what she would do. The test results confirmed cancer and “Alice,” felt afraid and sad as she feared for her nine-year-old daughter and soon to be husband. “I don’t want my daughter to grow up without a mother.” She expressed feeling anxiety as she thought about the future life she dreamed of having with her fiancé but may never experience. After acknowledging her difficult circumstance, exploring her thoughts and beliefs about her situation, Alice could admit her beliefs about her challenge created feelings of anxiety and despair. How are you feeling about your circumstances? 

At times threats to our individual wellbeing are out of our control. It happens. However, we do have control over how we respond. What if our first response was to believe that God desires our best and actually wants us to be whole and happy? What if we chose to trust in the Lord including His heart of love toward us?
